TUESDAY TRAILERS: Carrie (2013)

I am not always a fan of re-boots as I usually like the original just fine, but on occasion sometimes it is worth it (Star Trek).  I do like the cast that is in it and I am kind of okay with how this trailer looks.  Plus I am always up for a good horror film.  how about you?  What do you think of Moretz as the new Carrie?



Summary: A reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom. Based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King, "Carrie" is directed by Kimberly Peirce with a screenplay by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.

This remake looks meh. I really like Moretz, and some of the effects could be updated from the original, but really to what end? I hope it surprises us though and that I am wrong. Like your blog BTDub, Ty

I am always up for a good horror film and I love seeing them in the theater. Ultimately I think that if I go and spend the $10 at the theater for this one I will just be wishing it was the Original. But who knows, there are elements of this that look decent. But horror films of late have just been disappointing so I hate to get my hopes up for anything.

Haha nice to meet you also, some people don't like the formality on here so I wasn't trying to be socially awkward. I agree that horror has been weak sauce for the last little while so hopefully we get some good ones soon!
