If you look at Zachary Levi, you have to admit he is not hard on the eyes and that is definitely a crushworthy note (tall, dark and handsome...at 6’4 this works with my 6’ness). He is a self-described nerd, sings, dances, and does a lot for Operation Smile. He is the creator of the Nerd Machine which spreads nerd culture to the masses. And he also looks great in a pair of jeans. *Smile*

But let’s talk about his screen work. A few months ago E and I started watching Chuck (we are currently on Season 3 thanks to Netflix) and while we are both pretty late to the Chuck party you cannot help but fall for Chuck Bartowski. Chuck is the every man. He works at the Buy More as the leader of the Nerd Herd. And then his life changes. You cannot help but like him. Chuck is the guy who had so much potential, but then ends up working at the Best Buy. He lives with his sister and her boyfriend, spends time with best friend Morgan playing Call of Duty and eating Cheesy Puffs. He’s the nerd guy who still has posters of Tron and Old Boy in his room. How can I not crush on him even before he becomes the Intersect. You see yourself in Chuck even after he becomes part of the spy world. You relate to him. You like him. And for me, I wanted to be Sarah and date him. And I try not to be all squee like when he does something particularly adorable with E sitting beside me.

Next on board we have the adorable Flynn Rider, the snarky antihero who does not want to woo or save the girl, but then we both fall for him anyway. Flynn is quite the lovely singing animated heartthrob and for me is tied with Dimitri from Anastasia. Not to take away from animated hotness, he also plays Thor’s buddy Fandral in Thor: The Dark World and is definitely channeling some Errol Flynn which is not a bad thing at all (he can save me any time). Zachary Levi + sword equals warm fuzzies.

When Zachary is not playing someone you want to snuggle with on screen, he is a damn great guy in person. And maybe that is why we crush on him even more. He is a good guy. Chuck is a geek but so is Zachary. He loves what he does and it shows. He embraces his geekiness. He is a gamer. Unapologetic. Completely adorable. I know I am not the only one who crushes on him (Even E can admit that he is the kind of guy he’d like to hang with in real life). So here is to you Zachary Levi and the legions of fangirls who feel the same way I do.
